BVRA's Idita-Trail & Winter Challange

There will be frosty paws & feet as canine and human racers compete to finish the entire 9-miles of the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail in BVRA's Idita-Trail & Winter Challenge. Racers are permitted to walk, run, bike, or even snowshoe or ski in order to complete the challenge.
Anything Goes!
As long as it is allowed on the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail, you can complete the challenge any way you want. There is no price difference based on how you are getting there. Several options are:
-Bike
-Run
-Walk
-Snowshoe*
-Ski*
-Skijoring*
-Canicross
*Please note that while we wish we could control the weather, we find ourselves lacking that superpower. We therefore advise that you consider multiple ways of competing just in case there is no snow.
While all racers are participating at the same time, racers are only competing against similar racers. So cyclists are competing against cyclist, runners against runners, and so on.
Course
-Day of registration and pre-registration check-in will be at the Warming House (St. Mary and St. Lawrence Sts - Ice Rink)
-Participants will begin line-up along St. Mary's Street near the corner of St. Lawrence based on their mode of transportation (bike, run, snowshoe, etc). Those who are skiing will line up at the trailhead at 15th St or if they want to participate in the procession they may leave skis with event volunteers at the trail start.
-After line-up racers will participate in a procession that will turn on to 15th St.
-Once racers reach the trail they will be directed on to the rail trail and the challenge will begin.
-The Rail Trail course is around 9 miles long, and is relatively flat and quick.
-Transportation will be available from the Mifflinburg trail-head back to the Lewisburg trail-head. More information will be announced on this closer to the date of the race.
