Spring - Suzan K. Richar

About the Artist:

A native of the area, now living in Wellsboro, PA.  I have always been interested in art and nature.  As a child I drew the ladies at the Galeton Glove Factory while I waited for my mom.   I started taking photos to use mostly as references for my paintings.  The last years I have only worked in watercolor.  Presently I show in both photography and art venues.  With my photography I am basically a naturalist,  I seldom photoshop any image. I believe being an artist helps me size up the shot before I take it. I  am currently President of the Grand Canyon Photo Club.

The wake robin, commonly known as the Red Trillium is a herald of spring in our area.    A delicate bloom,  if you pick it's flower you will ruin it's food supply and it will take many years to recover.  Admire only with your eyes or camera.
