FUTURE LEADERS WANTED IN SCHUYLER COUNTY

The Leadership Schuyler program, known for providing opportunities for developing and enhancing leadership skills, is now looking for participants for the class of 2009- that begins on September 25, 2008.  In it’s 8th year, over 130 individuals have graduated from Leadership Schuyler, creating more effective leaders in Schuyler County.

With an all-new format, Leadership Schuyler is for anyone who has not completed the program before and is interested, or for anyone who would like to return to the program to study new topics and presentations. Focusing on turning managers into leaders, the 2008-2009 schedule will encompass different topics such as Team Building, Communication Skills, Managing Change, Coaching Skills, Presentation Skills and more.

Beginning in September with a full day orientation, and running through the April graduation commencement in ’09, participants will attend 13 sessions offered that run for two and a half hours each.

Additional Information: Leadership Schuyler is for residents and employees of Schuyler County. Candidates must complete an application form and provide two reference forms to be reviewed by the Leadership Schuyler Committee. A maximum of 25 individuals representing a cross section of the community will be selected to participate in the program. Program tuition is $400, and is due before September 1st, 2008. After September 1st, tuition costs $425. Tuition covers all program materials, supplies, meals and refreshments, and may be paid by the participant, sponsoring business, or a combination of the two.
