I, Claudia: A Noble Catwalk for the Arts

It takes a good runway for a proper take-off. So to help launch the fundraising efforts of two local arts groups, fashionista Claudia Waber, owner of the eponymous Claudia’s Collection in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, set up a runway fashion show. This is the second time that Claudia, who moonlights as an Endless Mountain Music Festival board member and a Hamilton-Gibson Productions actress, has undertaken a fashion show for the two groups, specifically EMMF’s educational outreach and H-G’s children’s choirs. The Blue Thistle Boutique and Dunham’s Department Store will join in an airing of the seasons’ hottest styles on May 17. At the Spring Into Summer Style Show, Dunham’s will be showcasing fashions from their children’s department, modeled by H-G choir members. The Duvid Smering Trio from Elmira, New York, will play jazz standards; the Native Bagel will provide the victuals, with punch and wine supplied by H-G and EMMF respectively. There will be raffles and door prizes, and of course a great chance to ogle the catwalk models, game and comely community members all.
